Isola del Cuore – Accessible Beach in Sardinia

Located on the beautiful Maladroxia Beach in Sant'Antioco, Sardinia, the Isola del Cuore is an accessible beach designed specifically for individuals with severe mobility disabilities, such as ALS, and their families. Established in 2018 by the Associazione Le Rondini, the beach offers fully equipped, free services to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable seaside experience.

The facility is accessible directly by car and features six specialized stations, including two that are designed for individuals requiring ventilation or other medical equipment. The nice environment, combined with personal assistance and cutting-edge accessibility features, makes this a haven for individuals who might otherwise be unable to enjoy the beach.
