Tiliaventum is a non-profit sports association based in Lignano Sabbiadoro, offering a variety of inclusive sea sports for individuals of all abilities. Through the Sea4All initiative, the association provides year-round activities such as sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). The accessible sailing programs include regatta participation and scenic excursions, ensuring that people with physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities can enjoy the thrill of the sea. The association promotes the idea that the sea is for everyone, offering tailored programs with no physical or financial barriers, allowing all participants to experience water sports in a safe, supportive environment.
A recent acquisition in Tiliaventum is PontoonBoat4All Accessible, which is an accessible pontoon boat designed to ensure an inclusive maritime experience. Equipped with a manual hoist for water access, a ramp, an accessible steering console, it can comfortably accommodate up to 12 passengers. It features both front and side entrances with 80 cm-wide openings, providing easy access. PontoonBoat4All offers a range of activities such as motorboat navigation, offshore sport fishing, swimming, lagoon excursions, and social activities at sea, making it ideal for an immersive and barrier-free adventure.
They also host a Safety and Sea Survival Course, open to all and certified by World Sailing, typically held in Lignano on a weekend in mid-to-late April. Additionally, they periodically organize accredited seminars and courses for professionals in technical or healthcare fields, focusing on accessibility and inclusion in maritime settings, though dates are yet to be announced.
Tiliaventum ensures full accessibility in its programs, with specially adapted equipment like the accessible boat Càpita, which allows participants to sail or steer directly from a wheelchair. The Marina Punta Faro base is fully equipped for accessibility, and trained staff are available to assist with personalized needs. The initiative removes barriers not only for physical disabilities but also financial, ensuring that all participants can enjoy these experiences without cost.
Activities are held year-round, including sailing, excursions, and kitesurfing. Tiliaventum organizes various customized open days and trial sailing sessions that can be scheduled upon request. Interested participants can contact Tiliaventum directly to arrange suitable dates. Additionally, they offer inclusive team activities to participate in non-Paralympic regattas, following sports calendars published in early January.
Their annual events typically include:
Some activities, like the Open Days are free of charge for all participants, thanks to sponsorships and community support. For some, a sum is asked to the participants. Enquire directly with Tiliaventum using the contact option.
